Where to get treatment in the Bristol, Bath and Weston area Bristol Urology Review Our members David Casley and Richard Firth are lay representatives on the committee running this review. The proposal is to reconfigure the three organizations: North Bristol Trust (Frenchay and Southmead Hospitals), University Hospitals Bristol (Bristol Royal Infirmary - BRI) and Weston Area Health NHS Trust (Weston General Hospital) into one. The probable outcome is that urology in-patient treatment will be centred at Southmead, possibly with a continuing facility at the BRI for dealing with trauma cases. Urology out-patient appointments will continue to be at the current locations and there is also a likelihood that new GP-led centres for urology patients will be introduced. The committee meets monthly and if any member has any concerns or questions about what is happening then they should contact David or Richard.
