Experienced US radiologists can now identify areas that are suspicious for clinically significant PCa. This helps avoid unnecessary biopsies, but if a biopsy is indicated, the area can be targeted with fewer needles. Only snag is it takes 30 minutes. See

A Glos man who was diagnosed with cancer twice in just over a year has praised a new non-invasive ultrasound treatment which saved him after enduring the “hell” of chemotherapy. Stuart Emerson, 60, is advocating for early detection and HIFU rollouts, hoping to spare others from invasive treatments and long recovery periods. More here

The proportion of patients diagnosed with cancer at an early stage has risen to its highest level on record, NHS figures in England show. Data for the 13 most common cancers show 58.7% of those diagnosed between September 2023 and August 2024 were identified at stages one and two, which increases the chances of survival (Jan ’25).
